LiteGait provides postural control and weight-bearing assistance for fall-free therapeutic activities. It permits the clinician to be hands-free when working with clients of all functional levels and diagnoses, to focus on better quality and increased quantity of practice.
The design of the LiteGait lets body weight support to be directed only where needed while facilitating normal weight-bearing where appropriate. The overhead straps provide postural control and support for symmetric upright positioning even for those who cannot support themselves.
LiteGait therapy allows clients to safely engage in progressively challenging functional activities early in the rehabilitation process and throughout treatment. LiteGait therapy benefits clients with lower extremity pain, lower extremity and trunk weakness, weight-bearing restrictions or amputation, diminished cardiopulmonary function, and poor activity tolerance. LiteGait therapy also benefits higher-functioning clients be challenged and progressed in a fall-free environment.
LiteGait can be used for gait over ground or with a treadmill, for balance and standing activities such as therapeutic exercise and ADL, for supported sitting and quadruped positioning, along with cardio and balance equipment and for many other activities.
LG 500X / 400X
Our newest models the LG 500X and LG 400X have all the qualities of our adult model line; the difference is the actuator positioning. We have offset the actuator to provide an almost “see-through column”. The actuator is out of the way, enabling the user to see through to the other side, as well as the therapist being able to have an unobstructed view of their client. The meticulously crafted X models have the same precision-made, robust actuator that provides 32″ (LG400X) or 36” (LG500X) of powered lift stroke in assisting patients from sit to stand. With the quiet & dependable double motor lift mechanisms built into the post of the LiteGait, the LG X models routinely lift and support patients weighing between 400 and 500lbs, depending on the model.
- FlexAble Yoke allows for controllable vertical displacement of the yoke (supportive arms) of the LiteGait, helpful for patients working on pre-gait balance activities, doing mini-squats, or even jogging over a treadmill while safely supported in the LiteGait harness
- Tablet BiSym Scale provides real-time feedback and measures the total amount of weight supported by the device plus left vs right side of the body-great for charting patient progress and building patient confidence (this BiSym Tablet is wireless and Bluetooth capable, wireless BiSym provides more flexibility for tablet placement)
- Integrated FreeDome Yoke allows the client to rotate 360 degrees while supported in the LiteGait harness enabling practice of walking backward or sideways over the treadmill, as well as gait, balance, and other activities facing outward in the LiteGait overground. The iFreeDome comes as a standard on this model.
- Smart Controller –option, automatically adjusts the overhead lift according to support goals designed by the therapist. Never worry about under- or over-supporting again! Just set the desired % of weight to be held and allow the Smart Controller to self-adjust as needed throughout your therapy session
- Gaiter Stool attaches directly to the base of the LiteGait and provides positioning and ease for the clinician while facilitating movement both overground or treadmill.
